Our name tags will include photos of us from back when. We have yearbooks from 1969 through 1973, so if you attended one of those years, you’re all set.
If you attended before 1969, or would like us to use a different photo from the one posterity stuck to the yearbook, send a .jpg image of you during your Uni years to Patty Tobias (’73) at moviegirl1926@yahoo.com.
During Friday registration we welcome folks to share one great anecdote of your time at Uni. Just two or three minutes: we’ll have time later for your entire history. The reunion committee’s anecdotes seem to have a common thread of Boone’s Farm. Hopefully some of you had more enlightened adventures.

Many of Uni’s finest basketball players are attending the reunion. Since we will be in the old gym, we thought a basketball game might be in order - until we considered our backs and knees, and scaled it back to a free throw contest.
Interested? Contact James (Kirby) Aiken (’72) at jimaiken@sbcglobal.net.
After basketball, cheerleader emeritus Ellen (Cooper) Fox has agreed to coordinate former Uni cheerleaders to, hopefully, lead us all in Uni cheers. Former cheerleaders, and anyone else who wants to boost loud and clear, contact Ellen at ellencfox@sbcglobal.net.
Patty Tobias has arranged to take individual oral histories of students’ experiences at University School. This will be during the day on Saturday. These will be recorded and given to the OU Archives. If you want to give an oral history, reach out to Patty at moveigirl1926@yahoo.com, or sign up for a Saturday time at Friday’s registration.
During the Saturday banquet, Paul (Shorty) Fallon will offer a tribute to some of the Uni students who are unable to attend our reunion or are no longer with us. Everyone else will be invited to say a few words about fellow students who meant much to them. No need to sign up in advance, just speak from your heart.
If you would like to share reflections on how our unique school influenced your life, contact Patty Tobias at moviegirl1926@yahoo.com, or let her know during the Friday registration. Patty will coordinate as many personal tales as folks wish to tell toward the conclusion of our Saturday banquet.
Want to have your yearbook re-signed by classmates? Remember to bring your yearbook to the reunion!
George Henderson, Ph.D., joined the faculty of University of Oklahoma in 1967. During his career he founded OU’s Department of Human Relations and published 28 books. He is a man of many firsts: the first African-American to hold an endowed professorship in Oklahoma as well as the first African-American to purchase a home in the City of Norman. Dr. Henderson had three children whom many of us remember fondly when they attended University School.
If you would like to know more about Dr. Henderson’s career and his connection to Norman and University School, here is an audio and transcript of an interview from the Voices of Oklahoma Series produced by the Oklahoma Historical Commission.
We are honored to have Dr. Henderson speak to us at our reunion.
Donations are welcome! Our budget is very tight!
Fifty years ago, University School closed its doors for the very last time. In this 50th anniversary year of the school’s closing, we think it’s high time we celebrate together the unique and extraordinary experience we all had attending one of the best schools in the country.
We are planning a big, all-school reunion for anyone who ever attended, taught or worked at Uni.
If you’re in touch with anyone connected with Uni — whether they graduated from the school or not — please let them know we’d love to have them attend.
Plans are progressing nicely and it's going to be a very fun event! Oh, and in answer to your unasked question, no, there’s not a home game happening that weekend.
